The purpose of this web brochure is to give a brief explanation of some basic information that you should know if you are injured on the job. You should read it carefully to make sure that you know both your rights and your responsibilities. Workers compensation is a program that requires your employer to provide medical benefits, disability benefits and re-employment benefits if you are injured, or become ill, where the injury or illness is caused by the work you performed for your employer. In cases involving fatalities, dependents may be eligible for death benefits.
